Waterfront Trail question

I know that The Homestead Waterfront has a trail somewhere, and eventually it will connect to the South side trail. I was wondering where the Waterfront trail is and how do I access it and where does it end? Not sure if it goes all the way to D.C. yet. Wifey and I are doing some riding and wanted to try new trails.

It's on the Rankin Bridge Side. If you're coming from the rankin bridge, make a right, and another right into the waterfront, it's at the bottom of that little hill by the storage place.

The Steel Valley Trail runs from Homestead down to McKeesport, and shows up fine on Google if you turn on the bike layer.

The Waterfront trail (i.e. the portion of the Steel Valley Trail that runs through the Waterfront) is connected to the rest of that trail by a sidewalk. It's not all showing up in bike mode at the moment, though you can see it on the normal map layer or aerial view. It runs from this spot just west of Mitchell's Fish Market to this spot near the Pump House. From there, take the sidewalk past the Pump House to reach the trail down to McKeesport.
