WTB: bar end shifters

Gerry K has nothing, sadly.

Need compatibility with 7-speed Shimano, so that probably means friction shifting. Rules out Suntour accushift, anything else acceptable. Older and cheaper is better.

Send me a mail, nfranzen-at-gmail, if you have something in a parts box you're willing to sell.

8 speed shifters will shift fine with a 7 speed drivetrain. Suntour will work OK with Shimano too. I ran XC Pro thumbshifters for years with 8 speed Shimano stuff.

I have a set of Campy friction shifters that are stuck in a set of bars. If I can get them out they are yours. Maybe it is time to make use of my new impact driver?

That'd be great. Impact driver, huh? Sounds like overkill for something tightened into an rather thin aluminum tube, but who knows! You have hex-end sockets for it? I bought some a while ago for properly torquing crank bolts.

It is the pivot bolts that are rusted, not the expander bolts. They are of course flat heads. I tried a bit a few months ago to get them out, no luck. The impact driver isn't a lug wrench type, more for driving lag bolts and other long fasteners.
